Strategic Alliance Business Group LLC (SABG), with the support of our employees, is pleased to announce our recent corporate donation to Fisher House Foundation. Fisher House Foundation supports military and veteran families, providing them a “home away from home” while their loved one is in the hospital.
Since inception, this charity has saved families an estimated $500 million on lodging and transportation so they can focus on what truly matters, the healing process. In total, Fisher House Foundation has served more than 413,000 families, with 13,000 in 2020 alone. The homes they support are stationed all over the world at military and VA medical centers.
Fisher House Foundation also hosts a number of other amazing programs to further support military families and their children. These programs include the Hero Miles program and Hotel for Heroes, which uses donated frequent flyer miles and hotel points to supply transportation and lodging free of charge for traveling family members. The nonprofit also governs grant programs to aid other military charities, as well as scholarships for children and spouses of military families.
SABG CEO Keri Mungo shared her thoughts on this year’s employee donation selection:
“As a veteran, this organization is extremely dear to me because it’s helping service members and their families during particularly challenging times. I’m very honored that we are able to contribute to such a wonderful cause, and grateful for Fisher House Foundation and our employees’ commitment to giving back.”
Each summer, SABG invites employees to collectively choose a $1,000 donation recipient. Staff members vote among several nonprofit organizations, and the entity with the most votes receives a contribution from the company. This year, our employees chose Fisher House Foundation and we couldn’t be happier to play a role in supporting them.
