Reservist and Transition Support

SABG actively recruits and supports employees serving in the National Guard and reserves. We provide military leave, work with our employees’ schedules leading up to their assignments, and provide all necessary training and transition-in support upon their return.

Our Veteran Resource Group supports newly transitioning veterans by helping them relate their military experience to their civilian job. SABG reaches out to veterans in their last year of service and provides one-on-one support as well as a retirement checklist which supplements the DoD Transition Assistance Program. The retirement checklist provides additional resources to help them adapt to the civilian work environment, understand retirement benefits, and more.

SABG also connects new veterans with community groups such as Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Still Serving Vets (SSV) to support their transition. Regardless of whether they choose to come work at SABG once their service is complete, these military personnel are provided additional support to help them through their transition into civilian life.

Mentorship and Training

New veteran employees at SABG are paired with a company sponsor, a fellow SABG employee who is also a veteran, to train and mentor them.

The SABG senior leadership team, comprised of veterans, and our retired military mentors come from every branch of service. They are familiar with the work experience and skill sets developed during military service and help the new veteran employees relate and leverage their experience to current company opportunities.

SABG provides career progression information, and tuition assistance and professional training courses are also available for employees to utilize in support of their civilian career growth. Our goal, where possible, is to promote from within to support continuous professional development and an upward career path.

SABG will continue to pursue a strong commitment to hiring, retaining, and supporting our veterans. People are SABG’s number one priority and supporting those who served our country is just one way our company demonstrates this.
