Strategic Alliance Business Group LLC (SABG) is pleased to share the recipients of our annual summer donation initiative. This year two worthy causes were selected, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust and A Kid Again. Every summer, SABG seeks the help of our employees to select a non-profit organization they feel best aligns with our values and beliefs. Employees are presented with ten organizations and are asked to select one they would like SABG to support. This year, with the help of our employees and the generosity of CEO Keri Mungo and President Adam Mungo, we have doubled our $1,000 donation to support two deserving charities.
DAV Charitable Service Trust goes above and beyond in supporting our veterans by providing comprehensive resources to our nation’s heroes in a dignified and respectful manner. Their mission is simple yet complex: to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with rehabilitation programs targeting physical and psychological complications.
Their resources are vast and cover an array of expertise including enhanced research and mobility items for veterans with impairments and injuries, benefits for aging veterans, therapeutic activities, food and shelter for homeless or at-risk individuals, and addressing the needs of veterans wounded in recent wars and conflicts. In addition, they provide substantial aid to families and caregivers of these struggling veterans. Each year, the DAV Charitable Service Trust provides direct support to thousands across the nation.
Our second $1,000 donation was gifted to A Kid Again, a worthwhile cause aimed at granting children suffering from life-threatening conditions a chance to escape their daily struggles and embrace the joys of being a kid. Since their inception, A Kid Again has helped 206, 460 families, including 12,638 in the previous year alone.
Through their organizational programs, they enable families to take cost-free adventures that will create memories to last a lifetime and focus on strengthening the family bond and network of support. Their adventures include, but are not limited to, theme parks, sporting events, zoo days, holiday parties, museums, magic shows, etc.! These year-round activities foster laughter, joy, and hope to children and families during a time it’s needed most.
CEO Keri Mungo on the importance of our employee-led summer donations:
“Our summer donation initiative is something very dear to my heart. Every year we make it a priority to support impactful causes, communities, and organizations that are making a difference to those facing substantial challenges. It brings great joy to see so many of our employees getting involved in determining this year’s recipients.”
